Job summary

Diverse Talent Solutions Ltd is recruiting a Network Transport Planner in the United Kingdom. You will plan deliveries and collections via the pallet network, coordinating with drivers and the customer service team in a fast paced logistics environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in transport planning; pallet network experience is advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of UK geography and routing requirements.
• Understanding of WTD and drivers' legislation is essential.
• Proven IT skills and the ability to use planning software.

Responsibilities

• Planning deliveries and collections via the pallet network, using TMS; manual planning experience accepted.
• Maximising the use of around 30 vehicles daily in a cost-effective way.
• Maintaining regular contact with drivers and updating customers on delays.
• Supporting the customer service team with day-to-day contact.
• Working with internal departments such as customer service and compliance.
• Coordinating with subcontractors and agencies when required.

My client is a fast growing logistics business with a network of 11 sites in the UK currently with further expansion plans on the horizon.. You will be working in a fast paced environment where no two days are the same.

Due to further expansion they are seeking a Network Transport Planner to join their friendly team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is motivated and ambitious and looking to build a career.

Responsibilities

• Planning deliveries and collections via the pallet network , using TMS but manual planning experience also required
• Maximising the use of 30 vehicles daily in the most cost effective and efficient way
• Maintaining regular contact with drivers
• Ensuring customers are updated on any delays or issues
• Supporting the customer service team with day to day customer contact
• Working in conjunction with other internal departments such as customer service and compliance
• Liaising with sub contractors and agencies if required

Skills required

• Previous transport planning experience / pallet network an advantage
• Strong Uk geographical knowledge

Working hours Monday - Friday 12.00 - 20.00
