Job summary

Pertemps is seeking an experienced Transport Co-Ordinator in Totton to support day-to-day transport operations. You will work closely with the Transport Manager to ensure activities are safe, compliant, efficient and customer focused.

You’ll link drivers, management and stakeholders, help identify issues, drive performance improvements and maintain high operational standards, with a 27.5 hour week on Mon‑Fri.

Qualifications

• Experience in transport, logistics, administration or purchasing.
• Strong communication and influencing skills.
• Knowledge of KPI-based performance management.

Responsibilities

• Support the Cluster Transport Manager with the day-to-day management of transport operations.
• Support driver resourcing and the weekly driver request process.
• Manage daily driver debriefs, addressing performance, compliance and safety issues.
• Monitor driver hours, licences and training to ensure legal and company compliance.
• Coordinate vehicle inspections, servicing and MOTs, arranging replacements where required.
• Maintain accurate transport and administrative systems, including TMS, tachograph, fuel, training and SAPHR systems.
• Support purchasing, goods receipting, invoice queries and budget monitoring across the cluster.
• Contribute to SHEQ activities, incident reporting and continuous improvement projects.
• Deputise for the Cluster Transport Manager when required.
