Job summary

Pertemps Southampton is seeking a Transport Co-Ordinator/Admin for a temporary role in Fawley, Hampshire. The role runs Monday to Friday, 12pm–6pm (30 hours per week) with on-site duties and salary payment of £19.01 per hour PAYE.

You will support day-to-day transport operations, acting as a key link between drivers, management and stakeholders to maintain safety, compliance and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Strong communication, influencing and employee relations skills.
• Experience working with digital systems and data.
• Knowledge of KPI-based performance management.
• Understanding of Operator Licence requirements, Drivers' Hours Regulations and Working Time Directive requirements.
• Strong focus on safety, compliance and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Support the Cluster Transport Manager with day-to-day transportation operations.
• Assist driver resourcing and weekly driver request process.
• Manage daily driver debriefs addressing performance, compliance and safety.
• Monitor driver hours, licences and training for legal and company compliance.
• Coordinate vehicle inspections, servicing and MOTs; arrange replacements as needed.
• Maintain transport and administrative systems (TMS, tachograph, fuel, training and SAPHR).
• Support purchasing, goods receipting, invoice queries and budget monitoring.
• Contribute to SHEQ activities and continuous improvement projects.
• Deputise for the Cluster Transport Manager when required.
