Job summary

Rapier Employment Limited is seeking a Transport Administrator in Wednesbury to support a busy logistics operation. You will ensure accurate documentation, manage driver briefings, and maintain compliant transport records in a fast-paced environment.

You should have experience in transport or logistics, strong attention to detail, and proficient use of Microsoft Office. Microlise/Tachomaster experience is a plus; Monday to Friday daytime shifts offer a permanent, full-time role with benefits

Qualifications

• Previous experience within a transport, logistics, or distribution environment (essential)
• Strong attention to detail and excellent accuracy levels
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
• Experience using transport systems would be an advantage: Microlise, Tachomaster, Paragon
• Understanding of the below would be an advantage: Driver Hours Regulations, Working Time Directive (WTD), Transport compliance requirements
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• The ability to prioritise workloads and remain calm under pressure

Responsibilities

• Supporting transport managers with accurate and timely driver briefings and debriefings to DHL standards
• Preparing, checking, and reconciling delivery paperwork and Proof of Delivery (POD) documents
• Monitoring vehicle routes and driver schedules through Microlise, escalating issues where necessary
• Providing administrative and operational support to the wider transport team
• Maintaining accurate transport records and documentation
• Producing Tachomaster administration and compliance reports
• Ensuring compliance with transport legislation, company procedures, and Health & Safety requirements
• Identifying and reporting operational concerns or compliance issues promptly
