Job summary

Rapier Employment Limited is recruiting four Transport Administrators for our transport team in Wednesbury. You will support transport managers, drivers and operations with accurate paperwork, driver briefings, and compliance tasks in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires previous transport or logistics experience, excellent attention to detail, strong IT skills (Microsoft Office), and the ability to prioritise workloads under pressure.

Qualifications

• Previous experience within a transport, logistics, or distribution environment (essential).
• Strong attention to detail and excellent accuracy levels.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience using transport systems would be an advantage: Tachomaster.
• Understanding of Working Time Directive (WTD) and transport compliance requirements would be an advantage.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• The ability to prioritise workloads and remain calm under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Supporting transport managers with accurate and timely driver briefings and debriefings to DHL standards.
• Preparing, checking, and reconciling delivery paperwork and Proof of Delivery (POD) documents.
• Monitoring vehicle routes and driver schedules through Microlise, escalating issues where necessary.
• Providing administrative and operational support to the wider transport team.
• Maintaining accurate transport records and documentation.
• Producing Tachomaster administration and compliance reports.
• Ensuring compliance with transport legislation, company procedures, and Health & Safety requirements.
• Identifying and reporting operational concerns or compliance issues promptly.
