Job summary

Lineage is seeking an ambitious Transport Manager at the Hams Hall/Coleshill depot to own transport operations, ensure O’Licence compliance and lead drivers toward continuous improvement. You will manage the fleet, budgets and training initiatives while driving safety and efficiency through data-driven decisions.

The role requires CPC certification, strong leadership, and a proactive mindset to challenge the status quo.

Qualifications

• The successful candidate must have a Transport Manager CPC.
• A confident and inspirational leader who can motivate a team and drive change.
• Strong knowledge of depot networks and transport operations.
• Experience with new systems and technology to improve efficiency.
• Collaborative communicator who works with stakeholders to remove inefficiencies.
• Analytical, interpersonal, and organizational skills with data-driven approach.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of transport fleet compliance and ensure vehicles are maintained in line with O’Licence undertakings.
• Lead the development and maintenance of transport operations to improve efficiency, value and profitability.
• Own depot budget, deliver excellent customer experience and drive continuous improvement.
• Be a strong voice for compliance across Legislative, Productivity, Quality and Service.
• Identify opportunities and implement initiatives to optimise transport operation and depot performance.
• Inspire and develop the team, making people accountable and motivated.
• Use vehicle telematics to monitor driver performance and arrange training as needed.
• Monitor driver working time infringements and take appropriate action.
• Own safety of transport operations and drive preventative actions.
• Develop and deliver plans turning strategy into measurable results.
• Oversee day-to-day transport operations including onboarding, route planning and supervision.
• Lead health and safety training on site and ensure risk assessments are implemented.
