WR Logistics in Berkshire is seeking an experienced Transport Operations Manager to lead a large-scale delivery operation and drive continuous improvement across Central London routes. You will manage ~100 drivers, develop a high-performing transport team and ensure safe, compliant, cost-efficient delivery of products.

The role requires strong leadership, change management capability and a proactive approach in a fast-paced FMCG logistics environment, with a competitive salary and benefits

Qualifications

• Valid Transport Manager CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) – essential.
• Experience managing ~100 drivers or similar complex delivery operation.
• Experience in foodservice / FMCG logistics preferred.
• Strong leadership and people development skills.
• Proven track record in change management and continuous improvement.
• Excellent knowledge of transport compliance and performance management.
• Ability to influence stakeholders and drive cost efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Manage a large transport operation of ~100 drivers and multiple delivery routes.
• Ensure safe, efficient and compliant deliveries into Central London.
• Lead change management initiatives to improve performance, service levels and efficiency.
• Coach, mentor and develop a high-performing transport team.
• Manage transport KPIs, costs, productivity and delivery performance.
• Ensure compliance with transport legislation, policies and health & safety standards.
• Collaborate with warehouse, commercial and senior management to optimise end-to-end operation.
• Identify opportunities to reduce costs and enhance customer satisfaction.
