Job summary

Lineage is seeking an ambitious Transport Manager for its Hams Hall/Coleshill depot near Birmingham. You will own transport fleet compliance, lead planning and people, and drive improvements across safety, efficiency and profitability.

You will manage budgets, develop teams, and ensure high standards of customer service while promoting Lineage values and continuous improvement. A CPC is essential for the role; experience with telematics and route optimisation is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must hold Transport Manager CPC certificate.
• Proven ability to lead upskilling and improve transport performance.
• Strong understanding of depot networks and operations.

Responsibilities

• Own transport fleet compliance and vehicle maintenance scheduling.
• Lead transport planning, performance, and profitability targets.
• Manage depot budget and deliver high-quality customer service.
• Promote compliance across Legislative, Productivity, Quality and Service areas.
• Identify and implement new initiatives to optimise operations.
• Develop and coach the team to be accountable and motivated.
• Monitor driver performance with telematics and arrange training as needed.
• Investigate accidents/incidents and drive preventative actions.
• Plan day-to-day transport operations including onboarding, route planning and resource allocation.
• Lead health and safety training and ensure risk assessments are implemented.
