Job summary

Great Bear in Stoke-on-Trent is recruiting a Driver Debriefer on a full-time permanent basis. The role includes debriefing drivers, processing timesheets, PODs, despatch notes and general admin within the Transport Department.

Salary is £26,921 per annum, with a Monday–Friday shift from 11:30 to 19:30. The successful candidate will maintain accurate records, use the Transport Management System (TMS), and ensure timely communication of ETAs to Customer Services.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills in order to deliver accurate information.
• Ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure.
• Effectively prioritise work load in order to meet set deadlines.
• Good standard of computer literacy, particularly MS Office e.g. PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
• Able to work as part of a team or individually.

Responsibilities

• Correctly debriefing drivers.
• Checking all timesheets for correct completion and ensuring all PODs are returned completed correctly.
• Scanning and storing PODs using Culina’s document management system.
• Preparing drivers’ wallets and issuing delivery notes in drop sequence plus any other relevant delivery information.
• Printing all despatch notes and replenishing despatch paper as required.
• Answering the telephone and assisting with any enquiries.
• Downloading drivers’ cards / tachographs.
• Ensuring all estimated time of arrivals (ETAs) are communicated to Customer Services.
• Consistently updating all spreadsheets including, but not limited to; change-overs, run summaries and trailer check sheets.
• Departing & Completing of loads using Transport Management System (TMS).
• Ensuring all uplifts are despatched in correct loads.
• Ensure all trailers are tracked.
