Job summary

White Recruitment is seeking a Transport Coordinator in Aberdeen to manage import and export road shipments from start to finish, including providing quotations and ensuring excellent customer service throughout inquiries.

You will liaise with internal and external clients on transport-related issues and bookings, ensuring shipments are managed accurately and in line with procedures and HMRC regulations. Experience in European and Domestic road freight is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating import/export road shipments.
• Strong customer service and quotation skills.
• Awareness of regulatory requirements (HMRC, DG).
• Ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide competitive pricing and transport solutions to clients.
• Ensure awarded jobs are processed and followed through to completion.
• Provide proactive updates to clients and resolve issues.
• Billing clients per SOPs.
• Produce and complete required paperwork (pre-alerts, CMRs).
• Liaise with stakeholders to ensure smooth transport service.
• Ensure job files are processed in the TMS.
• Load planning for domestic and international trailers.
• Work to company policy including Health & Safety and HMRC rules.
• Operate within legal requirements for dangerous goods and customs.

Salary: GBP30000 - GBP35000 per annum

Our client is looking for a Transport Coordinator to support their busy transport function in Aberdeen. The role will involve coordinating import and export road shipments from start to finish, including providing quotations and ensuring clients receive excellent customer service throughout their enquiry.

You will liaise with both internal and external clients on transport-related issues and bookings, while ensuring shipments are managed efficiently, accurately and in line with the required procedures and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide competitive pricing and transport solutions to clients that meets their needs
• Ensuring that awarded jobs and processed and followed through to completion
• Provide proactive updates to clients, resolving any issues that may arise
• Billing clients as per working SOPs
• Producing and completing all necessary paperwork, such as pre-alerts and CMRs
• Liaising with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth running of transport service
• Ensure job files are processed and completed within the TMS
• Load planning for both domestic and international trailers
• Work in accordance with company standards, guidelines and policies, including Quality, Health & Safety, Compliance and HMRC regulations
• Operate within relevant legal requirements, including dangerous goods, customs, quarantine and transport security
• Follow customer policies and procedures
• Report hazards, near misses and events immediately
• Maintain a high standard of work quality through accuracy and efficiency when completing tasks

Experience required

• European and Domestic Road Freight Experience
• UK based with UK experience within this field
• Dangerous Goods Knowledge (Preferred)
