Job summary

White Recruitment is seeking a Logistics Coordinator in Aberdeen to join the operations team. The role involves coordinating air, sea and road freight, preparing shipping and customs documents, and ensuring compliance with HMRC regulations.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years in freight/logistics, strong HMRC knowledge, and excellent Excel skills. This is a full-time, on-site position offering a competitive salary and pension.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years' experience within freight forwarding, logistics or a similar role.
• Experience coordinating air, sea and road freight shipments.
• Strong customs knowledge and understanding of UK import and export procedures.
• Good understanding of HMRC regulations, Incoterms and customs commodity codes.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the transportation of goods across air, sea and road freight.
• Arrange shipments from collection through to final delivery.
• Prepare import and export shipping documentation, including commercial invoices and packing lists.
• Ensure customs documentation is completed accurately and compliantly.
• Obtain and process import and export entries to satisfy audit requirements.
• Liaise with freight forwarders, carriers and customers to ensure the smooth movement of shipments.
• Maintain client HMRC records where required.
• Ensure all shipments comply with current HMRC regulations, Incoterms and customs commodity codes.
• Monitor shipments and proactively resolve any issues to minimise delays.
• Maintain accurate shipment records and operational documentation.
• Build strong working relationships with customers, suppliers and internal departments.
• Deliver a high level of customer service throughout the shipment lifecycle.

Salary: Up to £35,000 (depending on experience)
Hours: Monday to Friday, Full-Time

Our client is looking for a Logistics Coordinator to join their operations team in Aberdeen. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience in freight forwarding, logistics or customs who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment coordinating shipments across air, sea and road freight.
