Job summary

White Recruitment Construction in Aberdeen is seeking a Transport Coordinator to support a busy transport function. You will coordinate import and export road shipments from start to finish, provide quotations, and ensure clients receive excellent customer service throughout their enquiry.

Qualifications

• Experience in European and Domestic Road Freight.
• UK based with UK experience in this field.
• Knowledge of Dangerous Goods (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Provide competitive pricing and transport solutions to clients that meets their needs.
• Ensuring that awarded jobs and processed and followed through to completion.
• Provide proactive updates to clients, resolving any issues that may arise.
• Billing clients as per working SOPs.
• Producing and completing all necessary paperwork, such as pre-alerts and CMRs.
• Liaising with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth running of transport service.
• Ensure job files are processed and completed within the TMS.
• Load planning for both domestic and international trailers.
• Work in accordance with company standards, guidelines and policies, including Quality, Health & Safety, Compliance and HMRC regulations.
• Operate within relevant legal requirements, including dangerous goods, customs, quarantine and transport security.
• Follow customer policies and procedures.
• Report hazards, near misses and events immediately.
• Maintain a high standard of work quality through accuracy and efficiency when completing tasks.
