Job summary

The Best Connection is recruiting a Transport Administrator in Wishaw to join a small depot operation. The role supports daily transport administration for a small fleet of vehicles, with weekdays, regular driver communication, and data handling.

You will carry out driver debriefs, manage emails, update records, and provide general admin support. The position offers an immediate start, £14 per hour, and standard Monday to Friday hours (07:00-16:00 or 08:00-17:00).

Qualifications

• Previous administration experience is essential.
• Transport or logistics administration experience would be advantageous.
• Knowledge of transport planning is desirable, although planning is carried out remotely.
• Confident using Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out daily driver debriefs.
• Maintaining regular communication with drivers throughout the day.
• Monitoring transport administration and ensuring records are up to date.
• Downloading and collating driver data from electronic devices onto spreadsheets.
• Managing emails and responding to enquiries in a timely manner.
• Providing general administrative support to the transport operation.
• Assisting with any additional duties as required.
