Job summary

Bidfood UK is seeking a Transport Administrator to act as the primary contact for transport issues and to perform administrative duties for the depot, ensuring professional customer service. The role supports the Transport Manager and liaises with other departments to meet targets.

You will input data into electronic systems, manage records, and assist with tasks to maintain efficient transport operations, including handling TLC customers and Welcome Pack processes as required.

• Experience in dealing with cash transactions.
• Commercial awareness.
• Competent in IT: Outlook, Word and Excel.
• Familiar with internal processes.
• Good telephone and email communication.

• Conscientious and able to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Provide the primary point of contact for transport issues and perform admin duties.
• Carry out administrative and reporting tasks to support governance requirements.
• Handle calls/emails and provide admin support within set parameters.
• Input data using appropriate electronic systems.
• Manage storage of records (physical and electronic) for quick retrieval.
• Liaise with other departments to ensure effective information flow.
• Collate data using system tools to add value (e.g., Microlise).
• Support transport supervisors/manager as needed.
• Be aware of TLC customers and manage them throughout delivery or order process.
• Action administrative duties (e.g., Welcome Pack) to ensure customer care.
