Job summary
Compass Community is seeking a Residential Support Worker in Redhill to help children experience childhood, build self-esteem, and support their journey into adulthood. You will work with a dedicated team to safeguard wellbeing and facilitate activities within a supportive, non-judgemental home environment.
The role welcomes applicants with or without prior experience; comprehensive Skills to Care induction is provided, and you will pursue a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare within 12
Qualifications
- 22 years of age or above to meet Ofsted regulations.
- Caring, compassionate and able to build positive relationships.
- Has a valid manual driving licence.
- Ability to remain calm in challenging situations.
- Previous experience is not essential; Skills to Care induction provided.
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare can be pursued within 12 months to qualify as Residential Support Worker.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate children’s activities and appointments, support health and wellbeing, and safeguard at all times.
- Meet a variety of children and young people, some requiring high levels of supervision and support.
- Support the wider team with domestic tasks such as cleaning, cooking, and food shopping.
- Create timetables, manage paperwork and write reports.
