Job summary

Mercedes-Benz of Guildford in Guildford is seeking a Transaction Manager to create an engaging retail experience for new and used car buyers, driving sales conversion, profitability and loyalty. You will manage leads, support the sales process and deliver accurate finance quotes and valuations.

You will lead a team of Sales Executives, ensure follow‑up on enquiries and maintain Sandown SLA standards while promoting Mercedes‑Benz products and services.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of finance and related systems

• Understanding of car valuations
• Advanced negotiation skills

Responsibilities

• Provide class leading customer service
• Ensure sales process is adhered to
• Distribute and manage lead with sales executive
• Have detailed knowledge of every enquiry
• Encourage appointments at the showroom
• Second face every customer
• Ensure follow up after enquiry, in line with Sandown SLAs
• Produce finance quotes and proposals
• Appraise part exchanges and provide valuations
• Assist with the sale of the car, accessories, paint protection and insurance products
• Close sales
• Report to line manager on deal by deal basis on all income generated
• Conduct regular diary reviews
• Mentor and develop team of Sales Executives
• Identify renewal opportunities from existing Sandown customers

The purpose of the Transaction Manager is to create an engaging retail experience for new and used car buyers so that the customer does not buy a car from anywhere but Sandown. Ultimately, delivering this experience will improve sales conversion, profitability and loyalty.

Working Hours

The showroom is open from 8.00 – 18.30 Monday to Friday, Saturday 8.30 – 17.00 and Sunday 10.00 – 16.00. Weekend work on a rota basis will be required however; a 5‑day week will be worked. Total: 42.5 hours per week.
