Job summary

NHS Grampian's Department of eHealth seeks an enthusiastic Application Specialist to join the second-line IT Applications Support Team providing support for TrakCare. Based in Aberdeen, you will resolve calls, assist clinical and administrative users, and contribute to documentation to ensure reliable service delivery.

We require a minimum HNC in IT or equivalent experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to work under pressure in a busy environment.

Qualifications

• Candidates must hold a minimum HNC-level qualification in a relevant IT discipline or demonstrate equivalent experience.
• Experience of applications support and working knowledge of clinical systems used within the NHS are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Resolve calls and incidents logged with the eHealth Service Desk.
• Investigate and resolve routine incidents and requests, progressing more complex issues through agreed processes.
• Provide guidance on the effective use of TrakCare to end users and document procedures.
• Help develop and maintain support documentation and procedures for consistent service delivery.
