Job summary

Landmarc Support Services are recruiting a Training Area Operative (Main Towers Assistant) to help maintain a safe, efficient place for Armed Forces to train. This is an outdoor role; full training and development opportunities are provided, with no prior experience required beyond a can-do attitude.

Location: Holbeach AWR, Durhams Road, Dawsmere, Spalding, Lincolnshire. Hours: Mon-Thu 08:00-17:15, Fri 08:00-12:00.

Qualifications

• GCSEs or higher are required.
• Good communication skills face to face, by telephone and radio.
• Able to work as part of a safety-critical team.
• Basic IT skills and numeracy/literacy.
• Manual UK driving licence is essential.

Responsibilities

• Operate basic IT systems.
• Face to face, Radio & Telephone Communication.
• Management of Range Booking Procedures (Email, Telephone, Paper & Electronic Booking records).
• Recording basic information via IT and in written format.
• Meteorological Observations (Full Training Given).

Landmarc Support Services are currently seeking to recruit a Training Area Operative (Main Towers Assistant) to join our dedicated team . In this role you will play a key part in helping to maintain a safe, efficient and sustainable place for our Armed Forces to train.

We are looking for someone enthusiastic about working in an outdoor environment, dedicated to supporting the Military . Landmarc provide full training and continuous development opportunities, making this a fantastic opportunity to start a career on the Defence Training Estate.

What You’ll Do

• Operation of basic IT Systems
• Face to face, Radio & Telephone Communication.

What We’re Looking For

• Ability to work as part of a team in a safety critical environment.
• An ability and willingness to learn new skills.
• Good communication skills Face to Face, Telephone and Radio.
• Competent in the taking in and recording verbally given information.
• Basic IT skills
• Numeracy and literacy skills (GCSE and above).
• A valid Manual UK driving licence is essential to carry out the duties of this role
• Experience in working as part of a team.
• Experience in Meteorological Observations (desirable but not essential)
