Are you committed to supporting young people and considering a future career in education? We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our client’s dynamic and inclusive secondary school in Salford as a Trainee Teaching Assistant commencing in January 2026.

This position offers an excellent opportunity for those wishing to gain practical experience within an educational setting, particularly if you aspire to progress into teaching, SEND support, pastoral care, or educational psychology.

  • Assist teachers in delivering high-quality lessons across a range of subjects.
  • Provide targeted support to individual pupils or small groups, particularly those requiring additional assistance.
  • Contribute to the preparation of classroom resources and displays.
  • Monitor student progress and behaviour, ensuring a safe and supportive learning environment.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • Engage in ongoing training, mentoring, and professional development throughout the academic year.

This role offers a comprehensive introduction to working in education, including regular feedback, CPD opportunities, and the chance to shadow experienced staff.
