Hours: 36.25 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Are you an Accounts Assistant looking for the challenge of taking a mission driven organisation to its next level of success?

Ornua is actively seeking a Trainee Financial Accounts Assistant to join our Finance department as we continue our growth trajectory.

This is an entry level role into finance that supports the Financial Accounts team through analysis and reconciliation, processing and reporting of financial data. You will have the opportunity to complete an apprenticeship, and we will support you through AAT qualification, training, and development.

Why This Role Is Valuable:

As our Trainee Financial Accounts Assistant, you will be responsible for leading on;

  • Daily posting of cash transactions
  • Weekly Stock and other reconciliations
  • Monthly tasks including balance sheet reconciliations, posting of journals and overhead cost analysis
  • Inter-Company Reconciliation
  • Support the wider business in the use of expense system Concur and processing of claims
  • Ad-hoc support for Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable team.
  • Other ad hoc finance administrative duties

What You Bring To The Role:

  • Interest in finance and accounting and progressing through AAT qualification
  • Good numeracy skills and attention to detail
  • Minimum of two ‘A’ levels or equivalent qualification
  • GCSE level 6 or above (or equivalent) in English and Maths
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Competency in Microsoft Excel
