SOCOTEC UK & Ireland is hiring a Trainee Field Technician to support our Infrastructure team. You will assist with sampling and testing construction materials on site and in the laboratory, while learning industry standards under experienced colleagues.

The role emphasizes health & safety, reliability, and flexibility, with full training offered and potential to develop technical skills across materials testing and QA processes.

Qualifications

• No previous experience required; full training provided.
• Strong communication skills and a health & safety‑focused approach.
• Full UK driving licence is essential.
• CSCS card desirable but we can facilitate this for you.

Responsibilities

• Sampling and testing construction materials on site and in the laboratory.
• Completing test sheets, including calculations.
• Supporting report production in line with QA systems.
