Socotec UK & Ireland is seeking a motivated Trainee Laboratory Technician to support our Materials Testing team. This entry‑level role offers hands‑on exposure to concrete, soils, aggregates, and bituminous mixtures within a UKAS‑accredited laboratory environment.

You will learn test methods, complete sheets and calculations, and help produce QA‑compliant reports. No previous experience is required; full training is provided, with a focus on health and safety and career growth.

Qualifications

• No previous experience required; full training provided.
• GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths.
• Experience of laboratory testing of construction materials.
• Health & safety focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Testing of construction materials

• Production of reports in line with QA systems
