Job summary

SOCOTEC UK & Ireland Bridgend, Wales, United Kingdom is seeking a Trainee Field Technician to support site and laboratory testing within our Infrastructure division. You’ll learn industry standards under experienced colleagues while developing practical skills in materials testing. No previous experience required—full training provided.

A full UK driving licence is needed; CSCS card can be arranged. You’ll join a dynamic, safety-focused team delivering important testing and certification

We are seeking a proactive, reliable, and flexible Trainee Field Technician to join our Infrastructure team. In this role, you’ll support site and laboratory testing activities while learning industry standards and best practice under the guidance of experienced colleagues.

Tasks

• Sampling and testing of construction materials on site and in the laboratory
• Completing test sheets, including calculations
• Supporting report production in line with QA systems

Qualifications

• No previous experience required as full training given
• Strong communication skills and a health & safety focused approach
• Full UK driving licence
• CSCS card desirable but we can facilitate this for you
