Job summary

SOCOTEC UK & Ireland is hiring a Trainee Laboratory Technician to support our Materials Testing unit in the London area. You will assist in testing construction materials, collect data, and prepare test sheets under QA guidance. No previous experience is required as full training is provided.

The role values reliability, safety and the ability to work well in a team within a busy laboratory environment. London-based role with opportunities for progression across SOCOTEC's national network.

Qualifications

• GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths.
• No previous experience required; full training provided.
• Experience of laboratory testing of construction materials.
• Knowledge of UKAS accredited laboratory practices.

Responsibilities

• Testing of construction materials.
• Completion of test sheets, including all calculations.
• Production of reports in line with QA systems.
