Job summary

Medstrom in Thame, Oxfordshire, seeks a Trainee Decontamination Technician for the Oxfordshire service centre. 37.5 hours weekly, Monday to Friday, 9.30am–6pm.

You will clean, test and prepare products, support field technicians and learn electrical safety testing with full training. Qualifications

  • Basic knowledge of hygiene and safety rules is advantageous.
  • Basic PC skills including email and MS Office.
  • Full driving licence is advantageous but not essential for site-based role.
  • Electrical safety testing qualification or certificate is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided.

Responsibilities

  • Clean, decontaminate, test and repair products to be ready for use.
  • Maintain inventory of products and spare parts.
  • Ensure compliance with internal and external quality processes.
  • Meet daily product preparation targets and service in-field technicians with timely support.
  • Complete electrical safety testing during tasks after training.
  • Record and complete daily/weekly activity reports and update IT systems.

Were now looking for a Trainee Decontamination Technician to join our Oxford team on a full-time, permanent basis, working at our Thame service centre.

Your Role

As a Trainee Decontamination Technician, you will clean, maintain, and support the delivery of our products to customers throughout Oxfordshire, based within our service centre in Thame.

Whilst adhering to established quality processes, youll clean and test products, ensuring they are ready for use, and providing a high level of service to our internal technicians who will install products at customer sites.

Specifically, you will be:

  • Cleaning, decontaminating, testing, and repairing products and making them ready for use
  • Keeping an inventory of products and spare parts
  • Ensuring compliance with quality processes, both internal and external
  • Meeting daily product preparation targets
  • Delivering a timely and appropriate service to in-field technicians
  • Completing and recording electrical safety testing on products during tasks you will be fully trained
  • Completing tasks within the laundry (booking in, drying and inspection)
  • Ensuring the cleanliness of the workplace
  • Completing daily/weekly activity reports
  • Updating relevant IT systems

Working hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 9.30am 6pm

About You
  • Basic knowledge of hygiene and safety rules would be an advantage, but is not essential
  • Basic PC skills to include email and MS Office
  • A full driving licence would be an advantage to support the wider team, but is not essential as this role is site-based
  • Electrical safety testing qualification or certificate would be equally desirable, but is not essential, as full training will be provided

Please note, this role will involve manual activities lifting, carrying and loading products.
