Intact Insurance is a leading insurance provider. We are seeking a Trading Underwriter within Construction to help shape risk appetite and drive profitable growth.

You will underwrite and negotiate Construction book, build strong broker relationships in London, apply pricing strategies, and collaborate with teams to improve underwriting practices while representing the brand at meetings and events. The role offers hybrid working, competitive bonus potential, generous pension, and opportunities

• Experience in Construction underwriting is essential.
• Strong broker relationships with London brokers are expected.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite and negotiate Construction business within your authority.
• Build and maintain excellent broker relationships through regular engagement.

We are currently recruiting for a Trading Underwriter within Construction to join our team where you can help shape the direction of the business.

You’ll make an impact by:

• Underwriting and negotiating new and/or existing Construction business within your authority
• Building and maintaining excellent broker relationships through regular engagement
• Applying pricing strategies and risk assessment techniques to drive profitable growth
• Collaborating with colleagues to share insights and improve underwriting practices
• Contributing to process improvements and supporting broker team ideas
• Representing our brand at broker meeting, industry events and field visits as needed

• Experience gained within Construction Underwriting
• Credible relationships built and maintained with London Brokers
• Commercially minded with an eye for growth and business development opportunities
• Excellent communication skills
