Job summary

B&Q Farnborough is recruiting a Trade Business Development Manager to own and grow a portfolio of TradePoint members, driving demand and converting opportunities into repeat project spend.

You will build strong trade relationships, manage pipeline end-to-end, and work with Store, B2B and Suppliers to unlock growth, while maintaining margin discipline and compliance. This role offers a competitive salary and quarterly bonus.

Qualifications

• Proven track record of driving sales growth within Trade
• Ability to manage a portfolio of trade customers and projects
• Strong relationship management and influencing skills
• Excellent planning and follow-up discipline

Responsibilities

• Own and grow a defined book of trade members, with clear accountability for sales, margin and repeat spend
• Proactively generate high-quality leads weekly through local networking, referrals and market insight
• Build, manage and convert a structured pipeline, tracking all opportunities from lead to outcome with clear follow-up routines
• Drive repeat project spend, converting one-off transactions into long-term customer relationships
• Make commercially sound decisions on pricing and discounting, balancing conversion with margin delivery
• Use data and insight to prioritise highest-value opportunities
• Identify and pursue high-potential trade customers, owning relationships end-to-end in partnership with B2B where appropriate
• Establish disciplined daily/weekly rhythms and maintain a prioritised pipeline
