Job summary

B&Q is seeking a Trade Business Development Manager to lead a portfolio of TradePoint members from Milton Keynes. In this full-time role you will generate demand, nurture long-term trade relationships and convert opportunities into repeat project spend—driving sales, margin growth and a differentiated trade experience across stores.

You will own pipeline, manage pricing decisions, and collaborate with Store, B2B and Supplier teams to unlock growth while delivering safe and compliant practices.

Qualifications

• Proven track record of driving sales growth in Trade/retail environments.
• Understanding of trade customers and project-based selling.
• Strong commercial and financial acumen including margin awareness.
• Ability to generate demand and build a robust pipeline.
• Excellent relationship-building and influencing skills.

Responsibilities

• Own and grow a defined book of trade members with accountability for sales, margin and repeat spend.
• Proactively generate high-quality leads weekly through networking and market insight.
• Build, manage and convert a structured pipeline from lead to outcome with follow-up routines.
• Drive repeat project spend and long-term customer relationships.
• Make commercially sound pricing decisions balancing conversion with margin delivery.
• Collaborate with Store, B2B and Suppliers to unlock incremental growth.
