Job summary

OneAPPS Consulting, based in London with offices across Europe, is seeking an experienced Deskside Support specialist for the Canary Wharf team. You will provide second-line IT support on the trade floor, install and configure desktops and docking stations, and manage incident tickets with a focus on rapid resolution for finance clients.

Applicants should have strong knowledge of Bloomberg and Refinitiv, plus Windows, networks and security basics.

Qualifications

• Experience in finance industry, especially investment banking.
• Deskside support in a complex environment and second-level support.
• Installation and configuration of trade floor desktops and docking stations.
• Taking ownership of tickets and managing user expectations to avoid escalation.
• Solid understanding of ITIL Service Support and delivery methodologies.
• Trade floor software queries support (Bloomberg, WEY, local business apps).
• Experience with market data apps (Bloomberg, Refinitiv) and data feeds.
• Experience using a help desk call management system.
• Ability to work under pressure and tight timelines.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer care skills.
• Strong grasp of Windows, Networking and Security.

Responsibilities

• Provide deskside IT support on the London trade floor promptly and accurately.
• Take ownership of incidents and requests, ensuring timely resolution.
• Install, configure, and maintain trade floor desktops, monitors, and docking stations.
• Support market data tools like Bloomberg and Refinitiv; troubleshoot Excel add-ins.
• Liaise with traders and teams to manage expectations and avoid escalations.
• Maintain and follow ITIL-aligned incident, problem, and change processes.

• Taking ownership of tickets and managing trade floor users expectations and concerns to avoid escalation
• An excellent understanding of ITIL Service Support, delivery disciplines and methodologies
• Providing time critical trade floor support for all software queries (Bloomberg, WEY, Local business apps)
• Experience of market data applications (Bloomberg, Refinitiv), market data feeds and troubleshooting Excel Add-ins.
• Experience using a help desk call management system
• Ability to work well under pressure and to tight timescales
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer care skills
• Strong technical grasp of strategic platforms such as Microsoft Windows, Networking and Security, WAN, LAN.
