Job summary

Thames Water, the UK's largest water and wastewater company, is hiring a Trade Effluent Billing Technologist to ensure accurate and fair billing for trade effluent services for business customers. The role supports regulatory obligations under the Water Industry Act 1991 and MOSL Market Codes, delivering high-quality service to retailers and internal teams.

The position is hybrid with 36 hours per week, Monday to Friday, offering a competitive salary (£33,450–£38,000 per annum), 26 days holiday

Qualifications

• Experience in customer-facing roles and delivering quality service.
• Strong communication, relationship-building and negotiation skills across different stakeholders.
• Confidence working with data and interpreting written information.
• IT literate, comfortable with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Calculate and raise Trade Effluent charges for non-domestic customers.
• Communicate with retailers, other water companies, and internal teams to resolve billing queries and ensure compliance.
• Respond to retailer enquiries within set service levels, providing clear and accurate information.
