Job summary

Thames Water Ltd is seeking a Trade Effluent Billing Technologist to ensure accurate and fair billing of trade effluent services for business customers. This hybrid role sits at base location and offers a 36-hour week, Monday to Friday, with a focus on precise charge calculations and strong stakeholder communication.

You'll liaise with retailers, other water companies and internal teams to resolve queries, support regulatory obligations under the Water Industry Act 1991 and MOSL Market Codes,

Qualifications

• Experience in customer-facing roles delivering quality service.
• Ability to interpret data and written information.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Trade Effluent charges are calculated and raised correctly for non-domestic customers.
• Communicate with retailers, other water companies, and internal teams to resolve billing queries.
• Respond to retailer enquiries within set service levels with clear information.
• Support regulatory obligations under the Water Industry Act 1991 and MOSL Market Codes.
• Build strong relationships with retailers to improve performance metrics.
