Job summary

Thames Water is seeking a Trade Effluent Billing Technologist based in Beckton. The role is hybrid, full-time, with a salary of £33,450 to £38,000 depending on skills and experience.

You will handle billing for non-domestic customers, liaise with retailers and internal teams, and support regulatory obligations under the Water Industry Act 1991 and MOSL Market Codes. You’ll build strong retailer relationships and deliver excellent customer service while contributing to Thames Water’s reputation

Qualifications

• Strong numeracy and attention to detail in billing.
• Confident communicator across retailers, water companies and internal teams.
• Ability to interpret written information and data accurately.
• IT-literate and proficient with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Calculate and raise Trade Effluent charges for non-domestic customers.
• Communicate with retailers and internal teams to resolve billing queries and ensure compliance.
• Respond to retailer enquiries within service levels with clear information.
• Support regulatory obligations under the Water Industry Act 1991 and MOSL Market Codes.
• Build relationships with retailers to improve performance metrics.
