Howdens Joinery is the UK’s leading trade kitchen supplier, seeking a Counter Sales Warehouse Person to build relationships with trade customers and maintain an organised warehouse. You will handle orders, quotations, and delivery expectations while supporting stock control and health & safety.

Qualifications

• Experience in a sales, retail or customer service environment.
• Confident and friendly communicator who builds strong customer relationships.
• Able to adapt quickly and manage a varied, fast paced workload.
• Good understanding of stock control and health and safety.
• Strong attention to detail, especially with stock and records.
• Good literacy, numeracy and time management skills.
• Customer focused approach with a friendly and professional attitude.

Responsibilities

• Sell the full range of products and services.
• Achieve and exceed targets while supporting depot performance.
• Process orders, provide pricing/quotations, manage delivery expectations.
• Generate and follow up leads to drive sales.
• Support warehouse operations to keep the depot running smoothly.
• Maintain a safe and compliant environment per health and safety standards.
• Unload and check accuracy of incoming stock deliveries.
• Conduct daily forklift checks and maintain stock security on outgoing orders.
• Perform weekly stock checks and keep warehouse tidy and organised.
