Job summary

Wolseley Group’s Plumb Centre in Bognor Regis is recruiting a Sales Assistant on a fixed-term contract until March 2027. You will serve customers at the trade counter, offering product recommendations, and handle inquiries by phone and email while assisting with stock and warehouse duties.

The role is 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 07:30–17:00. Salary is £26,695 plus bonus and benefits including annual leave, a matched pension, and staff discounts.

Qualifications

• Plumbing and heating knowledge is ideal.
• Face-to-face sales and customer service experience.
• Warehouse experience.
• Ability to deliver outstanding customer service.
• Team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Serve customers on the trade counter with advice and product recommendations.
• Respond to customer enquiries by phone and email promptly.
• Make outbound calls to previous customers to regain business.
• Identify opportunities to drive sales within the branch.
• Handle stock and warehouse duties including booking in stock, putting away and picking orders.
