Total Plumbing Supplies – Southeast, part of IBMG, is expanding at its Street Branch and seeks a Trade Counter Assistant / Warehouse Operative. You will manage inventory and assist customers in a busy branch, ensuring accurate stock handling and smooth operations.

Ideal candidates hold a Full UK Driving Licence, communicate well at all levels, and work effectively in a team while supporting sales. The role offers training, development opportunities, and a supportive work environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

We’re expanding our team at our Street Branch and are looking for a dependable Trade Counter Assistant / Warehouse Operative to help us continue delivering excellent service to our trade and retail customers.

The Role

We are seeking a motivated Trade counter Assistant / Warehouse Operative to join our team in Street. As a Trade Counter Assistant / Warehouse Operative , you will play a crucial role in managing inventory and handling materials. Warehouse Duties

• Operate forklift equipment to move and store materials
• Utilise the Warehouse Management System to track inventory and orders
• Perform tasks, including heavy lifting to load and unload goods
• Handle procedures with care and attention to detail
• Conduct basic math calculations for inventory counts and order verification
• Assist in sending and receiving processes
• Collaborate with team members to efficiently load and unload

Counter Duties

• Dealing with orders and enquiries received from customers and potential customers
• Processing customer orders and maximising sales and customer satisfaction.
• Adopting a pro-active approach to maximise sales to existing customers.
• Resolving customer queries, investigating complaints, and resolving these as soon as possible.
• Be proactive in maintaining up to date technical knowledge of all products sold, ensuring that product knowledge is kept up to date with any technical product updates and changes.
• Observe strict adherence to the Company’s health and safety procedures at all times.

Requirements

The Working Hours

Week:1 Monday to Friday 07:00 - 17:00

Week:2 Monday to Friday 07:00 - 17:00 Saturday 08:00-12:00
