Ignite Talent Group Ltd is seeking a reliable Trade Counter & Stock Assistant for a busy plumbing merchants branch in Denton, Manchester area.

You will greet customers, assist with product selection, manage stock, and help ensure smooth day-to-day operation at the trade counter. The role combines customer service with stock control, offering opportunities to develop product knowledge in the plumbing trade.

Salary up to £30,000 per year with immediate start available.

Qualifications

• Experience in a trade counter or stockroom is beneficial.
• Plumbing or building materials knowledge is an advantage.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Organised, reliable, and able to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

This is a permanent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with customers, keeping stock organised and helping ensure the day‑day running of the trade counter is smooth and efficient.

Key Responsibilities

• Greeting customers and assisting them at the trade counter
• Answering customer queries and helping identify the products they need
• Checking deliveries and ensuring stock levels are accurate
• Organising and maintaining stock within the warehouse
• Picking and preparing orders for customers
• Keeping the trade counter and stock areas clean, tidy and organised
• Supporting the wider team with general duties as required

Requirements

• Previous experience in a trade counter, stockroom, warehouse or customer service role would be beneficial
• Plumbing or building materials knowledge would be an advantage
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Organised, reliable and able to work as part of a team
• A proactive attitude and willingness to learn
