Job summary

Vaillant Group is seeking a skilled maintenance technician to support tooling across the site. You will resolve breakdowns, perform preventative maintenance on press tools, fixtures and jigs, and help ensure consistent production quality through proactive tooling care.

You will work with the press team, read engineering drawings, operate workshop machinery such as lathes and milling machines, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Experience with CNC programming is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must have completed a recognised technical apprenticeship or equivalent in mechanical engineering, toolmaking or related discipline.
• Experience with press tooling maintenance or manufacturing environments is essential.
• Able to read and interpret engineering drawings with accuracy.
• Experience with CNC programming or advanced tooling design is advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Ensure smooth production by resolving tooling breakdowns and carrying out preventative maintenance on press tools, fixtures and jigs across the site.
• Diagnose and resolve tooling issues to minimise downtime and maintain production quality.
• Manufacture, repair and adjust tooling using tool room equipment such as lathes and milling machines.
• Perform tooling modifications and adjustments to enable production of different component variants.
