Job summary

Jewson in Reading is seeking an experienced Tool Hire Supervisor to join the branch team. You will drive a 3.5 tonne van with trailer to deliver and collect customer orders, and support the team with tool hire knowledge and customer service.

The role is full-time, Monday to Friday 07:00–16:30, with every other Saturday 08:00–12:00. A UK driving license is essential and you will work on our busy branch floor with a supportive team.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and collect tool hire orders, ensuring accuracy and secure loading.
• Lead by example with regular customer interaction to drive growth.
• Conduct pre-delivery checks and complete associated paperwork.
• Inspect, test and perform basic repairs on tools and small plant.
• Support colleagues to build knowledge of tool hire products.
• Build relationships to maximise cross-selling opportunities.
