Job summary

Jewson in Glasgow is recruiting for a Tool Hire Assistant to join our new branch. The role involves delivering and collecting tool hire orders, driving a 3.5 tonne van, and providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.

You will work Monday to Friday with two possible shifts (7:00–16:00 or 8:00–17:00) and alternate Saturdays 08:00–12:00. A full UK driving licence is essential. Training and development opportunities are available, plus a competitive salary and benefits package.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Deliver day-to-day tool hire activities and ensure safe operations.
• Lead by example and interact with customers to maximise growth through cross-selling.
• Provide guidance to team members and support high-quality customer experience.
• Deliver and collect orders, ensure accuracy and safe loading/offloading of equipment.
• Support branch colleagues in building knowledge of tool hire products.
• Maintain tool hire standards and manage inventory levels.
• Process orders and payments using in-house systems.
