Job summary

Jewson Hull branch is seeking a proactive Tool Hire Manager to oversee day-to-day tool hire activities, lead a small team, and ensure customer satisfaction. The role requires a full UK driving licence and is based at Hull, HU7 0XU with regular Monday–Friday hours and Saturday shifts on alternate weeks.

You will drive a 3.5 tonne van to deliver and collect orders, manage inventory, and support colleagues with product knowledge to maximise growth and service quality.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service skills with a focus on client satisfaction.
• Ability to work in a team and support colleagues to achieve targets.
• Full UK driving licence is essential and duties include van driving.

Responsibilities

• Deliver day-to-day tool hire activities with efficient, safe operations.
• Lead by example and develop relationships through regular customer interaction.
• Provide guidance and feedback to team members for high-quality service.
• Take and deliver customer orders accurately, ensuring safe loading/unloading.
• Assist in building knowledge of tool hire products across the team.
• Maintain tool hire standards and inventory levels to meet customer needs.
• Supervise the tool hire team in support of the Branch Manager.
• Contribute to tool hire growth through cross-selling and upselling.
• Drive a 3.5 tonne van to deliver and collect orders.
