Yorkshire Water is recruiting a Third Party Claims Handler to join the Insurance team. You will manage a diverse caseload of third-party public liability claims from first contact to final resolution, making informed decisions and negotiating settlements.

This permanent, 37-hour role offers hybrid working (2 days in Bradford/Leeds) and a competitive salary (£30,987 - £38,564) with a £1,000 bonus opportunity and a generous pension.

Qualifications

• Strong communicator able to liaise with people at all levels.
• Excellent written communication and a professional telephone manner.
• Ability to work independently with initiative and good decision making.
• Highly organised with ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
• Experience handling personal injury claims and familiarity with related portals.
• Understanding of Civil Procedure Rules and Pre-Action Protocols.

Responsabilités

• Manage a diverse caseload of third-party public liability claims from first contact to final resolution.
• Keep accurate records in the insurance system and manage financial provisions.
• Make informed decisions on invoices, quotations and settlements up to £200k.
• Review loss adjuster, medical, and legal reports to progress claims.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to gather evidence.
• Prepare witness statements and attend court when required.
• Support customer experience and contribute to process improvements.
