Job summary

IPS Group Limited in Leeds is seeking a Claims Handler to join its property/liability claims team. This role focuses on Property claims with exposure to Employers' Liability and Public Liability, handling investigations, wordings reviews, and broker relationships.

You will manage your own caseload end-to-end, assess coverage, and strive for fair, proactive settlements within a supportive, technical claims environment. Permanent, with benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in claims handling, preferably property claims.
• Good understanding of policy coverage and wording interpretation.

• Ability to build and maintain broker relationships.

Responsibilities

Claims Handler - Property/Liability Claims

Leeds - Office Based (1 Day WFH)

Salary up to 30k + Benefits / Annual Bonus

IPS Group is working with a Global Insurer that is looking to appoint a Claims Handler to join its Leeds-based Claims team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced claims professional looking to further develop their technical expertise within a global insurance business.

The successful candidate will join an established claims function handling a varied portfolio of commercial claims, with a particular focus on Property claims, whilst also gaining exposure to Employers' Liability and Public Liability matters. You'll be responsible for investigating coverage, reviewing policy wordings, maintaining strong broker relationships and ensuring claims are handled proactively, fairly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Take full responsibility and accountability for your own caseload of claims, with a particular focus on Property claims
• Handle claims from first notification through to final settlement
• Review and apply policy wordings to determine coverage and achieve appropriate claim outcomes
• Manage claims proactively, ensuring workloads are prioritised effectively and service standards are met
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key brokers and stakeholders
• Contribute to team projects and wider departmental initiatives where required

We're Looking For

• Previous claims handling experience, ideally with exposure to Property claims
• Good understanding of policy coverage and wording interpretation
• Experience managing claims through to settlement
• Ability to build and maintain effective broker relationships
