Job summary

Lift Schools is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support pupils with SEMH needs in a Crescent View setting. You will help learners access lessons, support social and emotional development, and work with teachers to plan and assess lessons.

Training opportunities include Level 3 TA training and Level 5 progression, with DBS checks and UK right to work required. We offer career development, generous benefits, and a supportive, inclusive team culture that values every pupil and staff

Qualifications

• GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English, or willing to work towards qualifications.
• Experience in a school or with young people is helpful but not essential.
• Basic IT skills and willingness to develop knowledge of child development are important.

Responsibilities

• Support students with learning needs to access lesson content.
• Help students build independent learning skills and confidence.
• Work with teachers to plan, assess and guide high-quality lessons.
• Guide small group or individual interventions to support progress.
• Build trusted relationships with students and support positive behaviour.
• Collaborate with staff, families and carers to support learning.
