Job summary

Lift Crescent View is seeking a Teaching Assistant to support learners with SEMH needs in a small-class setting. You will work closely with teachers to enable access to lessons and support social and emotional development for pupils aged KS1–KS2.

We offer pathways for Career progression, including Level 3 TA Training for those working 20 hours or more, Level 5 qualifications, and teacher training opportunities, helping you grow within a caring school community.

Qualifications

• GCSEs in Maths and English, or willingness to work towards functional skills qualifications.
• Experience in a school or with young people is helpful but not essential.
• Basic IT skills and a willingness to learn about child development.

Responsibilities

• Support students with their learning needs and access lesson content.
• Help students build independent learning skills and confidence.
• Assist with planning, assessment and delivering high-quality lessons with teachers.
• Support small group or individual interventions to help students progress.
• Build positive relationships with students and support behaviour across the school.
• Collaborate with staff, families and other professionals to support learning.
