Job summary

Lift Schools is seeking a Teaching Assistant to join our driven school and support pupils in accessing the curriculum with confidence.

You will work alongside teachers to deliver engaging lessons, build positive relationships and support students' social, emotional, and learning needs. Career progression through Level 3 and Level 5 apprenticeships and our Initial Teacher Training programme is available.

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths and English (Grade 4+ or equivalent).
• Strong communication and a calm approach in various situations.
• Patience, empathy and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work with colleagues and support inclusion.

Responsibilities

• Understand students' learning needs, including SEND, to access lesson content and achieve goals.
• Plan, deliver and assess high-quality lessons with teachers.
• Guide individual and small group sessions within agreed plans.
• Build positive relationships with students and support positive behaviours.
• Support the social, emotional, mental health and wellbeing of all students.
• Collaborate with teaching and pastoral staff, SENDCO and parents/carers to support every student.
