Job summary

The Esland Group Ltd near Newport is seeking a Children’s Residential Care Worker to join our Residential team. You will support and build positive, trusting relationships with young people in a nurturing, therapeutic home, helping them grow, learn, and participate in activities and community outings.

The role offers a permanent full-time contract with a salary of £32,242 to £35,745 per year, plus sleep payments (£60 per sleep) and enhanced hourly rates (£13.45–£13.75).

Qualifications

• A full UK driving licence is required.
• Must have the right to work in the UK with no restrictions.
• Values aligned with Esland, adopting a therapeutic, person-centred approach to childcare.
• Applicants must be aged 21 or above.
• Previous childcare or support worker experience is advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide care and support to up to 3 young people in a nurturing, therapeutic home.
• Assist with socialisation skills, activities and excursions and educational planning.
