Compass Community Schools are seeking HLTA staff to support children with SEMH and SEND, delivering tailored classroom support, 1:1 sessions, small-group work, and managing resources. You will join trips, lunchtimes with socially challenged pupils, and participate in therapy sessions as part of our trauma‑informed approach.

We value resilience, patience, and flexible, non‑judgmental communication; staff wear many hats and adapt quickly to changing needs to safeguard and empower every student.

Qualificações

• HLTA role supporting children with SEMH and SEND.
• Ability to maintain focus and adapt to varying needs in a classroom setting.
• Strong communication, patience and resilience in a fast-paced environment.

Responsabilidades

• Support teachers in the classroom and deliver 1:1 sessions with children.
• Lead small group activities and manage classroom resources.
• Support on trips and during lunchtimes for children who struggle socially.
• Assist with behaviour management and promote safeguarding.
• Participate in therapy sessions and reflect on practice.
