Job summary

Compass Community Schools in Halifax is seeking an experienced HLTA to support pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and SEND. You will work alongside teachers, deliver 1:1 and small group sessions, manage resources, and help maintain a safe, engaging learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Support teachers in the classroom
• Work with children 1:1 or in small groups
• Manage classroom resources
• Take children on trips and visits
• Have lunch with children who struggle socially
• Manage heightened behaviours and keep children safe
• Play board games
• Conduct science experiments
• Create amazing displays
• Celebrate success
• Participate in therapy sessions or reflect on difficult periods
