Compass Community is seeking an HLTA to support children with SEMH and SEND needs. You will work with teachers in the classroom, supporting individuals and small groups, managing resources, and helping with trips and sessions that aid learning.

This role requires resilience, adaptability, and a collaborative approach with therapists and staff. The successful candidate will participate in safeguarding and reflective practice, contributing to a positive learning environment and consistent outcomes

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with complex and challenging behaviours.
• Ability to wear multiple hats and adapt quickly.
• Willingness to participate in therapy sessions and reflection.

Responsibilities

• Support teachers in the classroom.
• Work with children 1:1 or in small groups.
• Manage classroom resources.
• Take children on trips and visits.
• Assist with safeguarding and progress tracking.
