Job summary

Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a multi-tasked Patient Access Officer to join the central booking office at Broomfield Hospital, Chelmsford. The role supports theatre lists across multiple specialties and covers annual leave and sickness within the department.

We are seeking candidates with NHS or healthcare exposure, excellent organisational skills, and a confident telephone manner. Role may close early due to applications; Visa sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience in NHS or healthcare environment is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide a comprehensive patient monitoring and waiting list service within prescribed timescales.
• Monitor patient pathways from referral to treatment for all specialties in line with policy and NHS targets.
• Ensure accurate data entry on Lorenzo and Theatreman; communicate with clinicians and GPs.
